First Baptist Church of North Highlands Vision Statement

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, First Baptist Church of North Highlands exists to glorify God by reaching the lost, restoring the broken, and raising disciples who impact their families, our community, and the world. We are a Christ-centered church devoted to preaching and teaching the uncompromising Word of God, equipping believers to serve with excellence, and cultivating unity through love and prayer. Together, we will expand God's Kingdom beginning in North Highlands and throughout the greater Sacramento region, as we live out the Gospel with faith, integrity, and compassion.

Our History

First Baptist Church of North Highlands was established in 1952 by a small group of believers who felt called to establish a Baptist presence in the growing North Highlands community.

From its humble beginnings meeting in a local school building, the church grew steadily and moved to its current location on Watt Avenue in 1958. Over the decades, our church has been blessed to touch countless lives through various ministries, community outreach programs, and mission work.

Today, we continue our commitment to sharing the gospel and serving our community, building on the strong foundation laid by those who came before us.

Senior Pastor

Pastor Edward McBride served as interim pastor before being voted into Sr. Pastor. Pastor McBride spreads the word of the bible to devoted members and opens arms to those in the community.
