Juneteenth Celebration - A Day of Remembrance
Join us in commemorating Juneteenth, a significant day in American history marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, with news of the Emancipation Proclamation, more than two years after it was issued. This day represents freedom, hope, and the ongoing journey toward equality and justice. Our celebration will include historical presentations, cultural performances, community fellowship, and a special worship service.
